Not all major beta batches spread the love equally and such is the case with WoW Cataclysm Beta Patch 12857. While other classes got major tweaks, Death Knights only saw a small buff to Blood Boil according to MMO-Champion datamining:
Blood Boil now deals [ 8% of AP + 297 ] damage, up from [ 6% of AP + 223 ].
The Blizzard devs have stated repeatedly that they are focusing on only a few classes at a time and it appears that time has not come for DKs just yet.
However, Death Knight players may be interested in the new Player, Guild and Profession Achievements introduced with this beta patch as well as the items introduced for the Archaelogy and Inscription professions. Also, new mounts and companion pets:
Mounts
- Dark Phoenix – Summons and dismisses a rideable Dark Phoenix. / 1.5 sec cast
- Goblin Mini Hotrod – Rides and parks a Mini Goblin Hotrod. / 1.5 sec cast
Companion Pets
- Dark Phoenix Hatchling – Right Click to summon and dismiss your baby dark phoenix. / Instant
- Rustberg Seagull – Right Click to summon and dismiss a Rustberg Seagull. / Instant
- Armadillo – Right Click to summon and dismiss your Baby Armadillo. / Instant
